Dr. Levine's Approach to Chiropractic and Wellness

First and foremost, chiropractic is not just about neck or back pain. It's about wellness and living a healthy lifestyle. Chiropractic is an all-natural hands-on drug-free approach to optimizing nervous system and joint function so that your body is operating at its fullest potential. This is done when your chiropractor addresses misalignments in the spine called vertebral subluxations (sub-lux-ay-shun).

This is a loss of normal motion of one or more vertebrae causing localized inflammation of the facet joints, abnormal muscle tone and a build up of fibrotic scar adhesions: all of which can cause stress, irritation, pressure, or stretching to the delicate nerves exiting the spine. And, as demonstrated in university research, this can result in abnormal flow of nerve impulses(messages or commands) to corresponding parts of the body. When that happens it's like having 1 or 2 bars on your cell phone when you should have 4 bars. A course of chiropractic care* is aimed at restoring normal communications between brain and body.

* As no two individuals are the same, a course of chiropractic care is individually formulated based on factors such as presenting condition and health history.

Dr. Levine is also a strong advocate of the principle of Eat Well, Move Well, Think Well lifestyle choices that when practiced simultaneously will naturally promote health and wellness. During his 25 years in practice, he's observed a significant difference in patients who've adopted sensible choices into their daily lives.

In addition to chiropractic spinal adjustments, Dr. Levine offers wellness coaching that is geared toward helping people incorporate lifestyle choices that are congruent with living a healthier life.
